Other animals that may be treated by the Professional Equine Bowen Therapist are those that fall within a ‘large animal’ category, namely Llamas, Alpacas, Cattle, Donkeys and Mules. Please note that to treat outside of what is indicated as a professional may void insurance coverage.
Qualified, registered and insured Professional Equine Bowen Therapists may do a bridging course to gain qualifications in Small Animal Bowen Therapy. This is a 3 day program (dependent on course participants) and is called a “Post Graduate”.
Professional Equine Bowen Therapists wanting to undertake future training to qualify in Human Bowen Therapy, if they have not already done so will have to complete training in human anatomy and physiology. There for we ask you to consider at length where your ultimate interests may be. You can save time and money in the long term by undertaking a human anatomy and physiology program as part of your requirement to become a Professional Equine Bowen Therapist, this will then cross reference back to meet the requirements of the Human Bowen program and will also cross reference back should the student choose to undertake training in the Small Animal Bowen Program. There may be cross referencing of some other units of study also, that will both shorten the course down and reduce the overall investment.
More About Equine Essentials
This program is available to anyone who has an interest to learn more about Bowen Therapy, but may be unsure of their intention to pursue a professional path. They have a desire to be able to treat their own horse/s successfully addressing a wide range of common muscular/skeletal problems.
The four day intensive seminar is also the starting point to the Diploma and is a compilation of all the Bowen Moves/Procedures that are taught within Modules 1 to 4. When the conscious step to proceed forward into the Diploma has been decided on, the student would then go onto complete the remaining core units of study. The Equine Essential program is a ‘must do’ if you are serious about wanting to manage the health and wellbeing of your own horse/s. As the saying goes ‘an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure’.
Pre-requisites - apart from the desire to learn Bowen, applicants must have some prior horse ground handling skills and be capable and competent around horses in a safe and respectful manner.
Please be advised that the knowledge gained in this seminar is not a replacement for professional care or veterinary advice and is not to be used for financial gain.
We differ from most other training organizations by providing a smaller class size to maximise the attention to detail, coaching and support that the Instructors can give to individual students, in doing so we have manage to create, dynamically exciting and educative training programs with an excellent investment return.
